Grants & Loans

Livingston/Genesee Home Access II is a grant program that helps physically disabled and elderly home owners make needed accessibility adaptations in order to remain in, or return to their homes in Livingston or Genesee County.

ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

• All Program eligibility guidelines will be followed

• Must reside in Livingston or Genesee County

• Household income cannot exceed the following limits:

• Grants are secured by a personal note.

• Grant amount vary according to the household’s income.
• Maximum grant for households under 70% of median income is $25,000.

• A small portion of the grant may be used for repair costs to bring the home into compliance with Housing Quality Standards.
• Accessibility Modifications will include all manner of adaptations that will allow the individual to return to, or stay in their home.

• Homes must be in Livingston or in Genesee County.
